These necklaces are one of a kind, collectible pieces. If you are interested in a piece, but feel that the length is not right for you, let us know. All of the necklaces can be shortened, and some can be lengthened. There will be a moderate charge for shortening or lengthening a necklace. Please feel free to contact us and see what is possible.

Origin and Dating of Beads
The origins and dating of ancient beads is difficult even for bead researchers. In the instances where we have suggested an age and origin for our beads, we have done so to the best of our knowledge. In general, when talking about beads, the term "ancient" refers to beads that are believed to be more than 1000 years old, and the term "old" refers to beads known to be more than 100 years old. When we use new beads, we use the terms “contemporary” or “new.” We have added a Glossary of Terms at the end of the Necklace Collection (page 10).
