Very large, striking and beautiful ancient agate eye bead, from Asia Minor. This bead is stunning for its large eye, beautiful colors, banding and contrast. Excellent condition.

Extremely rare and ancient, banded flat stone agate, from Mesopotamia. Likely to be 4000+ years old. This bead has very clean, precise and dramatic banding. The bead was at one time(in antiquity), capped in gold, but the gold was damaged and I removed it. The condition underneath the caps was perfect. The bead is covered with Dzi-like inclusions, and has superb ancient stringing hole wear.
