Ancient Suns

Very large, deep green, round Mayan greenstone bead, sourced in the Guatemalan Highlands. This bead has the dense, heavy, feeling of Mayan jadeite, but is not quite as hard. Judging from the patina, and the amazing stringing hole, I would estimate that this is a very ancient bead, more than 2000 years old. It is possible that this is actually an Olmec bead. Excellent condition, with one tiny area of surface wear. This is a superb bead.
