Ancient Suns

Rare and beautiful Mayan jadeite ear ornament. This type of piece would be worn on the front of the ear; there would be a “flare” that went through the hole in this piece, into the enlarged ear lobe perforation. Also, a bead or beads would then would have been put into the arrangement. This beautiful piece is crafted of fine, highly translucent jadeite, with a high waxy polish. Light clearly shines through this piece. Excellent condition.
